Record numbers of children are living in poverty and are at risk of homelessness.

Investment in Social Housing

The housing shortage must be tackled head-on. This means replacing local authority housing lost to policies like Right to Buy and increasing funding for housing associations.

Investment in Supported Housing

Providing a roof over someone's head is not enough. Flexible, needs-based support promotes long-term stability.

Prioritising Prevention

Restoring community-based support services that help individuals before they reach a crisis point will reduce emergency interventions and public service costs.


Joined-Up Policy Making

Homelessness impacts multiple government departments, from health to justice to welfare. A coordinated approach across government departments is essential to effectively address the root causes and provide holistic support to those in need.


Commitment to Long-Term Strategies

Sustainable change requires long-term planning and commitment. Short-term fixes are inadequate.
